Kerry Bunting has over 44 years of experience in the music industry, as a manager, professional musician, demonstrator and retail store owner.

He was involved with the operation and ease of use of digital pianos in Japan with design engineers at the Roland Factory after his huge success with the early KR500 model.He was asked to play also in the auditorium for all the factory workers and engineers whilst on his visit.

In the early 80’s Kerry took up a position with the USA Lowrey Organ Team based in Melbourne and toured all over Australia and New Zealand playing in concerts for Dealers and released new models with other artists such as Tony Fenelon and other American Artists.

Kerry also owned various very sucessful music stores that won Top Dealer awards on many occasions including recieving one of the awards in America from the Lowrey Organ Company whilst on a visit. As a professional musician and dealer Kerry for 2 years in succession played for the Western Australia 24 hr Live Broadcast Television Marathon Appeal and enjoyed playing for the cause and also meeting all the TV personalities.

Kerry says -”In a funny way it all  really started at the famous Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane, London where all the Big Bands in WW2 used to play..I was the resident piano and organ player there with a trio in the restaurant and joined the big band in the ballroom in the evening. After a while I decided to take up an offer from the P&O Company to travel and play on the P&O Passenger Liners. I performed for a number of years as Band Leader meeting some wonderful and interesting people. I eventually decided in the early 70’s to leave P&O and settle in Sydney .                                                                                                                                                                         I started with  Palings Music and in that time I set up and opened many new Organ & Piano stores throughout Sydney for the Company.  I also  performed with other bands in the larger clubs in Sydney backing major artists and shows.I look back at those times …they were fantastic days that now is all gone and am so glad I was there to experience and meet so many lovely and very talented people.

Whilst we had our own music stores we used to travel the same time and set up in Major Shopping Centers in other towns and cities that didnt have our products, promoting and selling. Since selling our store in 2001 it allowed us to travel further and  cover areas as far north as Cairns in Queensland and the Central Coast NSW to the South. We stop at most every other major town or city inbetween as well.We have met and made some wonderful friends in every town and look forward in returning again every time. It is also very rewarding to see Organ Clubs restarting again because of our presence, and new people playing music and enjoying themselves and New Keyboard Clubs starting up such as the one in Bundaberg.
